London (Paddington), UK

So here's some nostalgia for you.

The story goes like this. when my dad was younger (must have been a long time ago because he is really old now) he lived in London for a while.   While here my cousin Jack was turning one.

My dad at the same time found a lonely bear at Paddington Station, so being the loveable guy that he is took the bear in as his friend.

My dad took pictures of this bear at Paddington Station, he calls Paddington Bear, and sent the pictures and Paddington to my cousin Jack, for his first birthday present, so that my cousin Jack could love and look after him.  My cousin Jack still has Paddington and still loves him and looks after him (even though my cousin Jack now lives here in London and Paddington lives in Perth).

Now here is the special moment. My cousin Jack turned 21 today and 20 years on, to the day, both my dad and my cousin Jack were by chance on the same train stopping at Paddington station.

Wow! what is the chance of that.

And they had a bronze statue of our Paddington bear there as well, he must be famous for being in our family. I have to meet him when we get back home.
