Uncle John and me watching Chelsea beat Fulham in the EPL, on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I am only a little girl so my belly isn't as big as his yet.

Barrow in Furness

Our first night in at Barrow and a lovely dinner with Aunty Susan and Uncle John. Where is Barrow? I have no idea, I was asleep in the car on the way here.  But I was told they build nuclear submarines here in a big building right next to town.  In fact we heard on the radio yesterday that they launched a new sub yesterday, not knowing where. Who would have thought we would end in the place it happened. We actually heard that some lady a Baroness or something smashed a bottle of champagne over the boat (what a waste, when you think I could have used it to shampoo my hair).  Anyway she didnt break the bottle the first time so she had to try again and got it on the second attempt. No big thing you say.  Other superstitious mariners would tell you this is bad Luck.  So you wont see me on any sub built in Barrow not in a pink fit.

Another moment child services would be interested in. Just putting it down for the records folks.

Storrs Hall, Lake Windemere

Finally some class. Here we are at a former stately home on the banks of Lake Windemere.  The grandure just oozes, me. The mansion was first built in the 1790s by Sir John Legard, a Yorkshire landowner. After 14 years Sir John sold Storrs Hall in 1804 . The new owner of Storrs Hall was John Bolton, who was a rich man and one of the wealthiest men of his class. He extended the mansion and created a park. John Bolton was a Cumbrian who made a fortune as a Liverpool slave trader. He bought Storrs Hall with some of the proceeds and used the residence to entertain in style, holding regattas on the lake which were attended by Wordsworth and Sir Walter Scott amongst others. Granny thinks she's Lady Muck. I think she is happy because she finally found something older than her, but hey if it floats her boat why not.  You go girlfriend!

Because I am famous just for being famous and everyone wants to tweet, facebook and blogg my every move, here's me having breakfast. You will notice the oldes trying to get in on my fame. Breakfast by the way was porridge, toast and butter with some lovely fruit and yoghurt to finish off.  I just couldn't face the kippers this early in the morning, or any time for that matter they just plain stink.

Just when I thought this trip had finally turned the corner and we had stumbled across some class and respectability,  bam! they slap me across the face. Now they have me playing with old people that I dont even know.  Is this Stalls Hall or an Autumn Centre.

Skipton Castle is a medieval castle in Skipton, North Yorkshire, England. It was built in 1090 by Robert de Romille, a Norman baron, and has been preserved for over 900 years.  During the Civil War it was the last Royalist bastion in the North, yielding only after a three-year siege in 1645. ‘Slighted' under the orders of Cromwell, the castle was skilfully restored by the redoubtable Lady Anne Clifford.  Skipton remained the Clifford's principal seat until 1676. Today, their banner flies over the castle with the approval of the present Lord Clifford of Chudleigh. And I found a small berry with a twig.

So here's some nostalgia for you. The story goes like this. when my dad was younger (must have been a long time ago because he is really old now) he lived in London for a while.   While here my cousin Jack was turning one. My dad at the same time found a lonely bear at Paddington Station, so being the loveable guy that he is took the bear in as his friend.  My dad took pictures of this bear at Paddington Station, he calls Paddington Bear, and sent the pictures and Paddington to my cousin Jack, for his first birthday present, so that my cousin Jack could love and look after him.  My cousin Jack still has Paddington and still loves him and looks after him (even though my cousin Jack now lives here in London and Paddington lives in Perth). Now here is the special moment. My cousin Jack turned 21 today and 20 years on, to the day, both my dad and my cousin Jack were by chance on the same train stopping at Paddington station. Wow! what is the chance of that. And th...

After afternoon tea we went to visit our family friends Sunjay, Marie and Noa.  Noa is a 'Gen Now' like me as he was born a few months after me, so we had a great time catching up because we haven't seen each other since Feb sometime when his mummy Marie was sent here for work because she is a really important person that works for a company called Rio Tinto, not sure what they do but they are a really big company. His dad Sunjay watches movies and follows Manchester United I think that is all he does. While we were there we had a lovely dinner and we had a surprise birthday cake for my cousin Jack. As far as our family bet goes I still dont know how to blow out candles so Jack doesn't win.  The next chance I have is for my daddy's birthday (18 November). I will try very hard for him so he wins. Happy birthday Jack (I think thats enough now).

Happy Birthday Jack

My cousin Jack is a world famous ballroom dancer.  He and his partner Joanne dance in all of the finest dance halls in all of Europe and win lots of competitions.  They are so beautiful together on and off the dance floor. We are all very proud of our Jack for everything he has achieved and the man he has become,  and even though he is really old now dad says he will always be remembered as 'our little Giaccomo'. Zia Maria, Zio Alan (his mum and dad) and my cousins Emily and Luca (his sister and brother) and Nonna baked him a cake back in Perth and Skyped him and sang happy birthday to him and they blew out the candles together. Even though I missed the tea party (refer my previous blog) everyone had a lovely time. Happy 21st Birthday Jack.
